The Group renewed its commitment to the world of sports by choosing the talented British pilot, Sam Lowes, 2013 Supersport World Champion.
After a few races in the 2015 MotoGP World Championship, Moto2 category, which always saw Lowes as the star with two pole positions, a victory in the United States, one third place and a few excellent placements, Del Conca—already a sponsor—has decided to bolster its cooperation with the team by becoming Main Sponsor for the next three very important races: Sachsenring, Indianapolis and Brno. After six races, Lowes ranks third in the classification with 80 points and is in full battle to win the World Championship Title—but most of all he continues to increase his following, now enthralled by his aggressive and determined style of riding. A style with no half measures, which often leads him to perform masterly warm-ups and new track records.
The Del Conca colours will be featured on the motorcycle, riding suit, team’s uniforms and the pit and vehicle areas, ensuring the brand will enjoy high visibility, as well as offer the company’s clients the opportunity to enter the wonderful world of MotoGP World Championship, taking advantage of the invaluable and exclusive paddock pass and the hospitality of Team Speed Up.
There is a lot of Italy in Sam Lowes’ ventures, who was born in Lincoln on the 14th of September 1990. Indeed, his motorcycle is 100% Made in Italy, from design to creation, the work of Luca Boscoscuro’s Speed Up Factory, a man who has been tied to the world of motor sports for over twenty years: a rider yesterday (250 cc European Champion), a manufacturer today.
